Familie von Knuth

The von Knuth family belongs to the ancient nobility of Mecklenburg.  The first documentary evidence of the Mecklenburg Knuths is of Heinricius Knuth in 1230, and the genealogy begins with Henning Knuth.

The family later branched out widely.

The coat of arms depicts an upright pot hook on a silver ground, surmounted by two joined green clover leaves.  Atop the black, red, and silver helmet appear three green clover leaves, and three red flags above them.
