Manor House Neddesitz
In Neddesitz, a spacious holiday complex has been developed in recent years, centred around the manor house of the former chalk quarry owner Gierke.
Since the 16th century Neddesitz had belonged to the Spyker estate and came into possession of the House of Putbus in 1815. The villa, a grand two-storey rendered building in the neo-baroque style with an elaborate façade design with flat pilasters, ornamentally designed patterns and the detailed gable triangle, was built at the beginning of the 20th century.
Inside one is especially impressed by the fascinating period features in the hall, which extends over both floors and has a staircase leading up to a surrounding gallery.
From the open staircase at the court yard of the manor house, the eye is drawn to the farm buildings of the former estate from the 1920s, which are now part of the hotel complex and have been adapted for this use. From the rear of the manor house, a terrace and a flight of steps lead into the well-tended park.
