Weitenhagen near Richtenberg

Weitenhagen was an old fief of the von Behr family, who had their seat at the neighboring main estate of Behrenwalde. In 1651 Weitenhagen went to Balduin Pucher of Hövet as collateral.

Pucher’s son bequeathed the estate to the heirs of the Stralsund deacon Zacharias Rottmann. Peter von Goeben redeemed the estate again in 1695 in the name of his father-in-law Jochim Christoph Behr of Semlow.

The manor house burnt down in the 1950s.

Weitenhagen can be found in the book Fotografische Zeitreise Vorpommern [Photographic Time Travel Vorpommern], Volume 4.
