Manor House Langensee
About 6 km South East of Bützow lies this former ancillary estate of the village Gülzow. The manor house, the farm, and the narrow park are situated parallel to the lake. In the 1930s the agricultural farm was dissolved - due to the beautiful location right next to the lake a "Recreation home for the purpose of mental and physical recovery of exhausted city dwellers in need of rehabilitation" was established at the residual farm buildings.
The presumably late-baroque manor house with its striking half-timbered gable and the mighty crippled hipped roof is the result of a reconstruction in 1798. The former half-timbered building from the beginning of the 18th century was, among other things, newly walled and fitted with a connector to another courtyard building. Inside, the layout of the rooms corresponds to the concept of the French Enfilade - a series of rooms arranged in a suite of rooms with the door openings exactly opposite each other.
After WWII the manor house provided a new home for 13 refugee families who gradually moved into the area.
Decay and a deep sleep followed for the building until a Mecklenburg family, after reunification, renovated the house and estate in accordance with the preservation order.

In the manor house, four holiday apartments were created with direct access to the lake, bathing pier, sunbathing lawn, rowing and pedal boats, as well as sauna and children's playground. The barn is available for celebrations and weddings.
