Manor House Kägsdorf
Kägsdorf situated in the picturesque coastal landscape between Kühlungsborn and Rerik owns an untouched natural beach and is an ideal place for holidays.
The manor house Kägsdorf is a two storey rendered building in neo-gothic style, it was built in 1855 and altered in 1900.
Originally it was in possession of the von Brandt family. Gottlieb von Brandt was a professional hunter and tenant of the district of Plau which for a long time stood under Prussian jurisdiction. At the same time he owned the estates in Wangelin and Hohen Niendorf. Later the von Müller family inherited the property. The records mention a Captain Christoph von Müller auf Kägsdorf who sold the estate for 74.000 Taler and in turn bought the estate Gross Lunow. Since 1865 the von Meding family owned the estate. Around 1896 Hereditary Land-marshal Wilhelm von Meding (marshal of patrimonial land) was the owner and during the 1920ties until 1945 Hermann Hoffschläger.
After 1945 the manor house served a company as staff holiday accommodation.
Past 1990 it again became private property and was renovated until 2004. The house offers holiday apartments.
