The Neu-Polchow estate was built between 1748 and 1750 by Baron von Wendhausen. The so-called "new manor house" was built from 1904 onwards in the neo-baroque style by the Grand Duke's court architect Gotthilf Ludwig Möckel and the court architect Stubbe on behalf of the then owner of the estate Wilhelm von Lowtzow. The von Lowtzow family remained in possession of the estate until 1933, when Fritz Loll took it over and managed it up to the expropriation in 1945. After 1945, the manor house was used to accommodate refugees, and from 1951 onwards it was used as an old people´s home and later as a nursing home. Since 2003, the manor house has been privately owned and renovation and modernisation work has been taking place since 2006.

High-quality holiday flats are available to guests in the manor house and in the outbuildings.

In addition a horse breeding and horse training farm has been established.

The park with its old trees was extensively restored, and has been diligently and lovingly maintained ever since.

Another object of interest in the village is one of the oldest lime trees in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, which stands in the cemetery.

We introduce this place in part 1 of the book "Manor Houses and Castles in Mecklenburg"
