Manor house Grundshagen
Grundshagen lies about three kilometres north-west of Klütz. The manor house is immediately noticeable from the village road: A grand but simple brick building on a rectangular ground plan with nine sets of windows, half-hipped roof and spire light.
The extension and a veranda on the left gable were built around 1900. It was assumed that Grandshagen was a former feudal fortified manor house, similar to nearby Arpshagen. A manor house layout indicating this is however no longer recognisable. However the site is worth seeing: Two further half-timbered houses directly situated on the pond are close by, and you can see that the architectural ensemble has been carefully restored and modernized. The estate had been under the ownership of Ludwig König since 1840, later by Wilhelm König.
