Manor House Kloddram

The Kloddram manor house was built on the foundations of a two-storey half-timbered building from the middle of the 17th century and was formerly the centre of an extensive estate with stables, barns, vehicle park, and a two-hectare park with impressive trees

During the 17th century up to the beginning of the 18th century the estate was in possession of the von Bülow family. As from 1799 the Bolten family were the owners. It was this family who, in the 19th century, gave the manor house its present shape on a square ground plan and with the characteristic brick façade. The round tower, the stepped gable, the circumferential battlements as also many interior details date from this period. The coat of arms of the von Bolten family can be seen above the main entrance.

The manor house is a listed building. It is privately owned and was completely renovated from 2004 to 2010. Nowadays the house is home to a senior citizens' residential community and with its historical setting serves as a venue for markets, festivals, and concerts.
