Wostevitz Manor House
The manor house no longer exists, having been demolished in 1966. A remaining stable has been rebuilt into a dwelling.

A document from 1381 mentions the von Lancken family in “Gustavitze.” Around 1500 the village counted seven farms and in 1577 three, which belonged to the von Bohlens and the von Lanckens. In 1695 the Spyker lords are named as third owners of a farm. In 1805 one farm was still in the possession of the von Bohlens and/or von Lanckens, with the other owned by the Spykers. In 1829 only one farm remained, owned by the Spykers. From 1892 until 1945 the property belonged to the Princes of Putbus.
We introduce Wostevitz in Fotografische Zeitreise—Rügen [Photographic Time Travel—Rügen], vol. 2.
