Ballin Manor House
The house was built in 1837 by the lessee Johann Christian Hollin.
Additions and alterations to the house occurred in 1846, 1909, and 1935. Until 1450 the estate was in the hands of the von Warburg family. After several changes of ownership it passed to the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz in 1810 und was a seigneury until 1945. After 1945 the house served as a shelter for refugees, a kindergarten, the office of the state-owned farm, and finally a home for apprentices. Since 1992 it has been privately owned and renovated.
