Wiebendorf Estate

The Wiebendorf manor house was blown up in 1945.  The picture shows the remains of the former orangery.  Martin Haller was the architect of the large house with its 37-meter-high (121-feet-high) tower.

Behind the house lay a park with valuable stands of timber and a pond.  At the beginning of the seventeenth century the estate belonged to the von Blücher family; from 1662 to 1756, the von Dellwigs; from 1756 to 1781, the von Kirchners; from 17971 to 1800, Chamberlain Hartwig von Bülow; and from 1876, the von Haases.

Along the street leading to the estate are the agricultural workers’ houses, built between 1880 and 1886.
