Manor House Miekenhagen

Miekenhagen was first mentioned in records in 1224. Until 1582 the village belonged to the neighbouring Siemen estate.

The manor house was erected around 1820 on behalf of the Rathlev family. In the 1880s, the estate passed to Johannes Eduard Freiherr von Mutzenbecher, followed by Heinrich Rosenow as owner in 1903, Wismar judicial councillor Paul Thormann in 1910 and Jürgen von Oertzen in 1940.

Around 1980 the manor house was demolished due to a lack of funds for maintenance and repair. An ice cellar, which is now a listed building, has been preserved.
