Manor House Mesekenhagen

The place was first mentioned in documents at the beginning of the 14th century as "Mesekenhaghen". Johann von Slawekestorpe appears as the owner of the village in 1325.

In 1397, the Duke of Pomerania must have transferred parts of the village to the town of Greifswald. In the 17th century, the estate served as a university estate, supplying the University of Greifswald. The approximately 100-hectare estate was finally sold to a private owner in 1939.

During the GDR era, the estate was part of an agricultural production cooperative. The manor house was initially inhabited by refugees and later used as a school.

The current owners acquired the manor house in 2017 and began renovating the dilapidated building. After gutting and partially rebuilding it, work came to a standstill in 2023.

Remnants of the former estate park remain.

The house is up for sale in 2025.
